Yes, Umrah is permitted under the Saudi Tourist eVisa. Eligible travellers may apply online and use the Saudi Tourist eVisa to enter the country and perform Umrah.

Note: The Saudi Tourist eVisa permits Umrah outside the Hajj season and does not cover Hajj or employment activities.

What is Umrah?

Saudi Arabia Umrah eVisa Validity

The Umrah eVisa remains valid for 1 year and permits multiple entries. Each stay can last up to 90 days within the visa’s validity. When performing Umrah during Ramadan, travellers must follow any departure deadlines announced by the Saudi authorities for that year.

Are there any Special Requirements for Women and Minors? 

Women Travellers (18 years and above)
Women aged 18 + may apply for the Umrah eVisa and travel independently without a male guardian (mahram), in line with current Saudi Arabia eVisa regulations.

Minors (Under 18 years)
Children under 18 years of age must travel with a parent or legal guardian who holds a valid visa. A birth certificate or official identity document may be requested to confirm the relationship.

• Register: Begin registration on the Saudi Arabia eVisa Application portal using an active email address and mobile number. These will be used for verification and visa updates.
• Fill out the eVisa Application Form: Enter personal, passport, and travel details exactly as they appear on your documents. Select Umrah as the travel purpose and ensure all information remains accurate.
• Upload Required Documents: Upload all required documents as clear, high-quality scans and review the application before submission.
• Pay the Visa Fees: Complete the secure online payment with a valid debit or credit card. Processing begins once the Saudi Arabia eVisa Fee is paid in full.
• Receive the Saudi Arabia eVisa: After approval, your Umrah eVisa will be sent to your email. Download and keep a copy for travel.

1. Normal Processing:

   The Umrah e-Visa is processed within 1-2 Working Days. Ideals for those applying in advance.

2. Rush Processing:

   The e-Visa application process is typically completed within 6 - 12 Hours, best for applicants who require priortized planning and swift approval.

3. Super Rush Processing:

   The e-Visa gets issued within 1 Hour. Best suited for those who want their application to be processed on urgent timelines.

Unified Hajj and Umrah Visa System

In recent years, Saudi Arabia has restructured its visa system for pilgrims by combining the fees for Hajj, Umrah, and visit visas and moving the process to digital platforms. Pilgrims can now apply online for a dedicated Hajj visa or Umrah visa, while tourists use the Saudi tourist eVisa, which also allows Umrah (excluding Hajj). These changes support a digital visa process for pilgrims and visitors.
