Is Umrah Covered Under the Saudi Tourist eVisa?
Yes. Eligible travellers can use the Saudi Tourist eVisa to visit Saudi Arabia and perform Umrah outside the Hajj season.
Note: The tourist eVisa does not allow travellers to perform Hajj or work in Saudi Arabia.
What is Umrah?
Umrah is a voluntary pilgrimage to Makkah for Muslims. It can be performed at most times of the year, except during the Hajj period. Umrah and Hajj are two different pilgrimages.
Travellers must follow Saudi Arabia’s entry and pilgrimage rules before and during their trip.
Tourist eVisa Validity & Stay Duration
- Valid for 1 year from the date of issue

- Each stay: up to 90 days
During Ramadan, travellers performing Umrah must observe any departure deadlines announced by Saudi authorities for that year.
Tourist eVisa Requirements for Umrah Visit
- Passport Biopage Scan: Provide a scan of the applicant’s passport biopage with all details, including the MRZ, clearly visible.
- Applicant Photo: Submit a recently taken digital photo of the applicant. The photo must be taken on a plain background and be free of any edits or glare.

- Complete the Application Form: Enter accurate passport and travel details. Select "Umrah" as the travel purpose.
- Upload Documents: Submit clear, high-quality copies of the required documents.
- Pay the Visa Fees: Complete the Saudi Arabia eVisa Fee payment using any available secure payment option.
- Receive Your eVisa: After approval, your eVisa is sent to your registered email. Download and keep a copy for your travel.
